Abstract:
An electronic device according to various embodiments in the present document comprises: a housing; a battery; a driving unit arranged in the housing so as to move the housing; at least one sensor module; a wireless communication circuit; a processor; and a memory operatively connected with the processor, wherein the memory can store instructions for allowing, during the execution thereof, the processor to move the electronic device within a selected space by using the driving unit, generate, during the movement, a map having a plurality of regions, which are separated according to characteristics of the bottom surface of the space, by using the sensor module, and control the movement of the electronic device on the basis of at least a part of the generated map. Other various embodiments are possible.
