Provided is a method for operating an electronic device, the method comprising the steps of: capturing an image of a product; on the basis of the result of identifying a plurality of elements in the image, displaying status information representing maintenance statuses of the plurality of elements; on the basis of the status information, receiving an input of selecting a first element from the plurality of elements; and displaying first guide information for guiding maintenance of the first element.
