Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device including an expanded display region. The electronic device including an expanded display region may comprise: a cover member; a display bonded to the bottom of the cover member by means of a first adhesive member, and including a polarizing layer, an encapsulating layer, and a substrate; a sensor module; and a housing receiving the display and the sensor module, and at least partially bonded to one end portion of the cover member by means of a second adhesive member. The polarizing layer includes: a first hole formed to be adjacent to one end portion of the display; and an extension part extending from the periphery of the first hole to a space formed between the display and the housing such that the first hole, in which the sensor module is disposed, is positioned at the top of the display, thereby expanding an active region of the display. Various other embodiments are possible.
