Abstract:
An electronic device according to an embodiment comprises: a first housing; a second housing; a display that expands or contracts according to the movement of the second housing; a motor; a pinion gear that can receive driving force from the motor and rotate; a rack gear which is engaged with the pinion gear and can move according to the rotation of the pinion gear; a switching structure that can be changed to a gear connection state or a gear disconnection state with respect to the motor; an actuator which is connected to the switching structure and configured to change the state of the switching structure; and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to change the switching structure to the gear connection state or the gear disconnection state by means of the actuator on the basis of identifying a specified event.
