Abstract:
According to an embodiment, the electronic device comprises: a communication module including a communication circuit that operates using a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) mode; memory; and at least one processor operatively connected to the communication module and the memory, wherein the at least one processor can control the communication module to: receive function-specific authentication information, including information on function-specific data and access authority level information, from an external electronic device through the BLE mode; store the received function-specific authentication information in the memory; and transmit a function-specific authentication index corresponding to the function-specific authentication information to the external electronic device through the BLE mode.
