Abstract:
According to embodiments, a method performed by an electronic device is provided. The method may comprise a step of transmitting, to another electronic device via a server, a session initiation protocol (SIP) INVITE message for a connection request for a session. The SIP INVITE message may include information indicating an authentication request. The method may comprise a step of receiving, from the other electronic device via the server, an SIP information message for indicating ringing, which includes information indicating authentication support. The method may comprise a step of identifying whether or not an SIP response message for indicating a success of the connection request is received from the other electronic device, or a target electronic device for call forwarding. The method may comprise a step of establishing the session in response to the reception of the SIP response message.
