Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device which connects to an external device and receives power from the external device, said electronic device comprising: a USB interface comprising a VBUS terminal and a CC terminal; a communication unit for executing communication for acquiring the power supply capability of the external device via the CC terminal; and a control unit for control such that if it is determined by the communication that the external device has a prescribed power supply capability, power received via the VBUS terminal is supplied to a load, and if it is determined that the external device has the prescribed power supply capability without having to carry out the communication, the power received via the VBUS terminal is not supplied to the load.
