Abstract:
Disclosed are an electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device. The present disclosure relates to a method wherein: multiple pieces of coordinate information regarding an object sensed by multiple sensors included in an electronic device are received; at least three pieces of coordinate information regarding an object commonly sensed by the multiple sensors, among the multiple pieces of received coordinate information, are selected; respective sensing areas of the multiple sensors are registered on the basis of the at least three pieces of selected coordinate information; the multiple sensors perform coordinated detection in the registered sensing areas; and the electronic device controls operations of an air conditioner on the basis of the path of movement of the sensed object.
