Abstract:
Provided are an electronic device and a method for controlling same. The electronic device comprises a display, a memory for storing at least one instruction, and a processor, wherein the processor: executes the at least one instruction to extract and collect a plurality of texts displayed in a chat window of a message application; inputs the collected plurality of texts into a first learned neural network model to align the plurality of texts in order; inputs the plurality of texts aligned in order to a second learned neural network model to identify whether additional information is needed to acquire event information from the plurality of texts; and acquires the event information from the plurality of texts on the basis of the identification result.
