Abstract:
The present document relates to an electronic device and method for identifying the location of an external electronic device, and according to an embodiment, the electronic device may: collect packets according to wireless communication of at least one external electronic device obtained within an adjacent region; identify a suspected candidate external electronic device from among the at least one external electronic device, on the basis of packet information obtained from the received packets; obtain dynamic motion information of an external object and a data change amount of the packets; determine the candidate external electronic device as a first external electronic device that transmits video data, on the basis of the motion information and the data change amount of the packets; obtain signal strength information according to movement of the electronic device on an assigned movement path; and identify the location of the first external electronic device on the basis of the signal strength information. Other embodiments are also possible.
