Abstract:
An electronic device, and a method for identifying a SIM card and a memory card; a clock signal pin, a first data transmission pin and a second data transmission pin in a memory card interface on a controller of an electronic device are electrically connected to a clock signal pin, a reset signal pin and a data transmission pin in a SIM card interface, respectively; therefore, in terms of hardware, an analog switch between a SIM card interface module and a memory card interface module in the existing technology is omitted to thereby reduce hardware costs. The controller is used to set the SIM card interface to a high resistance state according to the SIM card placed within a shared card slot, or set the memory card interface to a high resistance state according to the memory card placed within the shared card slot. The present technical solution does not require the controller to support the function of reusing a memory card as a SIM card, and redundant devices need not be added to a hardware circuit, thus a memory card and a SIM card can share a card holder.
