Abstract:
An electronic device for improving quality of an input image, according to a technical aspect of the present disclosure, comprises a memory for storing at least one instruction, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor may execute the at least one instruction to calculate a deterioration degree of the input image, detect at least one face image included in the input image in response to determining that the deterioration degree of the input image is greater than a determined value, generate area information indicating the location and type of at least one area included in the at least one face image, generate a face image in which quality is improved, by using an artificial neural network (ANN) using the input image and the area information as inputs, and generate an output image by combining the input image and the face image in which the quality is improved.
