Abstract:
An electronic device and an operating method therefor, according to various embodiments, display, in a first operation, a first screen, which includes a plurality of icons representing a plurality of application programs in a first format, when the electronic device is not connected to an external output device, and, in a second operation, render a second screen, which includes a plurality of icons in a second format while an external docking device is connected to a wired LAN, when the electronic device is inserted into the external docking device by using a connector and is connected to the external output device through the docking device, provide data associated with the second screen to the external output device through the connector such that the external output device displays the second screen, and connect the electronic device to the wired LAN through the connector by using a first MAC address shared with an external device on the wired LAN.
