Abstract:
An electronic device, according to one embodiment, comprises: at least one communication circuit; and at least one processor operatively connected to the at least one communication circuit, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: measure a first distance between the electronic device and a first external electronic device and a second distance between the electronic device and a second external electronic device through the at least one communication circuit; determine, on the basis of the first distance and the second distance, whether a first condition that the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device exist in a designated area is satisfied; determine whether a function of the electronic device corresponding to the first condition is registered, on the basis of a determination that the first condition is satisfied; and perform the function of the electronic device corresponding to the first condition, on the basis of a determination that the function of the electronic device corresponding to the first condition is registered, wherein the first distance is measured when a second condition that triggers measurement of the distance between the electronic device and the first external electronic device by the first external electronic device is satisfied, and the second distance is measured when a third condition that triggers measurement of the distance between the electronic device and the second external electronic device by the second external electronic device is satisfied. Other embodiments may be possible.
