Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a device and method for improving wireless communication reception performance in an electronic device. The electronic device comprises a communication circuit and a processor, wherein the processor can confirm a paging occasion of the electronic device when in an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state with a network, confirm a time when the electronic device switches to an active state on the basis of the paging occasion, and update identification information of the electronic device on the basis of a determination that the time of switching to the active state is within a designated range based on a frame boundary. Other embodiments may also be possible.
