Abstract:
According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises: a resonance circuit including a battery, a coil, and a capacitor and configured to receive power wirelessly; a rectifier circuit that rectifies AC power, provided from the resonance circuit, into DC power; a DC/DC converter that converts and outputs the DC power provided from the rectifier circuit; a charging circuit configured to charge the battery by using the converted DC power provided from the DC/DC converter; a controller; and a communication circuit. The controller may be configured to receive wireless power by: controlling the charging circuit so that the magnitude of a reference current of the charging circuit is set to a first value which is smaller than the maximum value of the output current of the charging circuit; controlling the charging circuit so that the magnitude of the reference current is set to a second value greater than the first value; measuring the magnitude of the output current of the charging circuit after the setting of the second value; controlling the charging circuit so that the magnitude of the reference current is set to a third value greater than the second value on the basis that the difference between the measured magnitude and the second value is no greater than a specified set value; and controlling the charging circuit so that the magnitude of the reference current is set to the first value on the basis that the difference between the measured magnitude and the second value is greater than the specified set value.
