Abstract:
According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an electronic device comprises: a memory including a storage; and a processor operatively connected to the memory, wherein the processor confirms use attribute information about a file requested to be deleted, if a file deletion request is generated, updates, on the basis of the use attribute information, information related to the extension of the file requested to be deleted, if the information related to the extension of the file requested to be deleted is stored in the memory, and can set, on the basis of the updated information related to the extension and a hotness condition of the storage, the attributes of the extension of the file requested to be deleted. In addition to various embodiments disclosed in the present document, other various embodiments are possible.
