Abstract:
This electronic device comprises: a communication device capable of communicating with a server device that provides data; a storage device; and a control device. The control device: uses the communication device to periodically access the server device to check if new data is being provided; determines, if new data is being provided, whether the new data should be downloaded from the server device or the download should be postponed, on the basis of a predetermined probability; and stores the new data downloaded from the server device in the storage device.
