An electronic device is provided with: a display unit; a communication unit that reads (S430) information related to the current operation mode (for example, image capture mode/playback mode) of another electronic device having a plurality of operation modes from the other electronic device; and a control unit that switches (S450) a user interface screen that is displayed on the display unit in accordance with the information related to the operation mode that is read by the communication unit.
