Abstract:
A display/input apparatus 1 comprises: an anode 20; a cathode 22; a conversion unit that converts the electric energy of a current flowing between the anode 20 and the cathode 22 into another energy; a current limiting unit 4 that limits a current flowing through the cathode 22 to a limit current value ILIM; a first current generation unit 6 which generates and supplies a first current IA to the anode 20; a second current generation unit 7 which generates a second current IB having a voltage greater than the voltage of the first current IA to charge the anode 20, and which supplies the anode 20 with the first current IA with the second current IB superimposed thereon; and a control unit 8 which controls the second current IB that is superimposed on the first current IA, and determines an approach or a contact of an operating finger 9 on the basis of a measurement result obtained by measuring the voltage of the anode 20 alongside the conversion of the electric energy by the conversion unit.
