The present invention relates to the field of instrument data storage and display. Disclosed are an electronic display apparatus simulating mechanical display, and a data storage method thereof. The electronic display apparatus comprises: a display screen, a first processor, a first display driver, a second processor and a second display driver; the display screen is divided into two independent areas, i.e. area A and area B; the first processor is connected to the first display driver and, by means of the first display driver, the first processor drives area A to display real-time data; the first processor communicates with the second processor, and the first processor transmits a cumulative flow to the second processor; the second processor is connected to the second display driver and, by means of the second display driver, the second processor drives area B to display the stored cumulative flow; when an instrument has a fault, the first processor cannot work normally, area A cannot perform normal displaying, and area B normally displays the cumulative flow. When electronic instruments have faults, instrument data can still be normally displayed with high accuracy.
