Abstract:
The present invention is a door viewer (100) comprising a light sensing means (305) coupled to an exterior side of a door, an image system (308) for receiving and processing the signals from the light sensing means (305), and a display (108) mechanically coupled to the interior side of the door to view the image signals from the image system (308) on the display (108). The door viewer is coupled to a motion detection device such that when an outsider approaches the door, a digital camera records and stores (406) an image of the person, for the resident to review and determine who approached the door.
