Abstract:
Provided are electronic eyeglasses capable of notifying a wearer, without obstructing the visual field of the wearer, that the mode of use has been switched. The electronic eyeglasses 1 are provided with a lens 10 having a liquid crystal region 11 configured so as to cloud over when electric power is supplied; a control unit 20 for controlling the voltage applied to the liquid crystal region 11; and a switching operation unit 30 for switching the mode of use. The liquid crystal region 11 has a surface area which is smaller than the total surface area of the lens 10. The control unit 20 controls the voltage applied to the liquid crystal region 11, such that the liquid crystal region 11 clouds over in a specific manner when the mode of use is switched from a first mode to a second mode as the result of an operation performed by the switching operation unit 30.
