Abstract:
This electrophotographic photoreceptor (1) is provided with a conductive base material (2) and a photosensitive layer (3). The photosensitive layer (3) is of single-layered construction. The photosensitive layer (3) includes a charge generating agent, an electron transport agent, a positive hole transport agent, and a binder resin. The binder resin contains a polycarbonate resin represented by general formula (1). In general formula (1), R1, R2, R3 and R4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms and optionally having a substituent group, an alkoxy group having 1-6 carbon atoms and optionally having a substituent group, or a phenyl group optionally having a substituent group.
