Abstract:
Electrophotographic photoreceptors containing a charge generator composition comprising both a sandwich-type metal bisphthalocyanine compound of the general formula (I) Pc=M1=Pc; having a primary particle diameter of 1$g(m) µ or below and a phthalocyanine charge generator of the general formula (II): M2=Pc; wherein Pc is a phthalocyanine residue of the general formula (III); R¿1? to R¿16? are each hydrogen, halogeno, nitro, alkyl, or alkoxy; and M1 and M2 each represent a hydrogen or metal atom bonded to the center of a phthalocyanine residue, M1 being an atom selected from among Ti, Zr, Sn, Ge, and lanthanides, and M2 being hydrogen (H2), Cu, or Al, or alternatively a Ti, V, Zr, Ge, Ga or In atom to which oxygen, halogen, hydroxyl, or the like is bonded.
