Abstract:
The present invention provides an electrophotography cleaning blade characterized in that: the tip-end surface of an elastic member is scanned using a scanning probe microscope; a binarized image is created in which values greater than or equal to a threshold value are displayed in black, and values less than the threshold value are displayed in white, where the threshold value is the 93rd gradation from the lowest-gradation side in a brightness frequency distribution obtained from a 256-gradation phase image; the binarized image is divided into 100 sections that are each 2 µm square; the variation coefficient of the area ratio of the white regions based on the area ratio of white regions in each section, the average value AM of the area ratio of the white regions, and the standard deviation Σ of the area ratio of the white regions, is 20.00 or less; and the value obtained by subtracting the Martens hardness HM2 from the Martens hardness HM1 of a specific position in the elastic member is greater than 0.10 N/mm2.
