Abstract:
[Problem] To prevent liquid from dripping onto an electrostatic spraying machine body from the nozzle of a cartridge when replacing the cartridge of the electrostatic spraying machine after removing a cartridge cover. [Solution] Provided is an electrostatic spraying machine wherein: a cartridge (C), which supplies paint to an atomization mechanism (2) to which a negative high pressure is applied via a high-voltage-applying path, moves back and forth between a clamp locked position in which spraying is carried out with a cartridge nozzle (12) inserted in a nozzle insertion opening (3), and a clamp unlocked position in which the cartridge (C) is replaced after having been retracted from a spraying machine body (B); a conduction terminal (7) is provided so that when a spent cartridge (C) is removed after the high voltage has been cut off, any charge in the cartridge nozzle (12) is grounded via the high-voltage-applying path at least from the time at which the cartridge (C) is in the clamp locked position to the time at which the cartridge (C) is retracted to the clamp unlocked position and the cartridge cover (13) is removed.
