Abstract:
An elevator apparatus, comprising a car body lifted in a hoistway while being guided by a guide rail, a car frame installed on the outside of the car body, a guide shoe fixed to the car frame and moving along the guide rail, and a pressing means pressing the guide shoe against the guide rail. The car body is displaced to a platform side by a reaction from the guide rail generated when the guide shoe is pressed against the guide rail by the operation of the pressing means.
