Abstract:
In an elevator apparatus, a drive device is provided at the upper part of a hoistway
such that the axis of rotation a drive sheave is vertical. First and a second car
suspension sections are arranged at a spacing at the upper part of an elevator
car. A first car end section of a first main rope is connected to the first car suspension
section, and a second car end section of a second main rope is connected to the second
car suspension section. Further, in a vertical projection view, the first and
second car suspension sections are equidistant from the center of gravity of
the car.
