Abstract:
Disclosed is an elevator apparatus that comprises an emergency stop device and that makes it possible to improve the reliability of movement while being electrically actuated. This elevator apparatus comprises an elevator car, an emergency stop device provided to the elevator car, a driving mechanism (12-19) that is provided to the elevator car and that drives the emergency stop device, and an electric actuator (10) that is provided to the elevator car and that actuates the driving mechanism. The electric actuator is provided with: a pair of movable members (34); a pair of electromagnets (35) that face the pair of movable members; a mechanism unit (36, 37, 39) that causes the pair of electromagnets to move linearly; an operation lever (11) that is connected to the driving mechanism and moreover is connected such that the pair of movable members can move in the direction of movement of the pair of electromagnets; and spring parts (51) that are provided to each of the pair of movable members and that impart, to the movable members, urging force in the direction opposite the direction of movement of the pair of electromagnets when the pair of electromagnets move toward the pair of movable members and the pair of movable members are attracted by electromagnetic force.
