Abstract:
An elevator cage (1) in which a safety fence being assembled on the upper part (1a) of the cage is provided with a removable securing member (8) such that the securing member (8) is secured in the direction of frontage of entrance when the safety fence is tilted. Since a worker remove the securing member (8) in order to ride on the upper part (1a) of the cage at the time of maintenance or inspection work and assembles the safety fence using the securing member (8), the safety fence is assembled without fail at the time of maintenance or inspection work.
