Abstract:
An elevator device, wherein a drive device (9) is disposed horizontally at the inner upper part of a hoistway (1) so that the axis of a drive sheave (11) extends along a vertical direction, a cage side direction reversing wheel (17) leading a main rope (12) from the drive sheave (11) to a cage (4) and a balance weight side direction reversing wheel (18) leading the main rope (12) from the drive sheave (11) to the balance weight (5) are disposed at the inner upper part of the hoistway (1), and the cage side direction reversing wheel (17) is disposed so that the main rope (12) extends in parallel with the frontage direction of the cage between the cage side direction reversing wheel (17) and the drive sheave (11).
