Abstract:
An elevator device comprises a support block (30) installed in the upper region of an elevator shaft (1), and a driving unit (10) and an idle wheel (14) that are disposed on the support block such that a driving sheave (12) and idle wheel (14) have their axes of rotation directed vertical. A main rope (20) has two parallel paths and comprises a first rope (21) and a second rope (22) that are independent from each other, one of their respective ends being joined to a balance weight (7) and changed in direction by a balance weight deflector wheel (18), the intermediate portion being entrained around the driving unit (10) and then again entrained around the driving unit (10) via the idle wheel (14), the other ends being changed in direction by a first cab deflector wheel (16) and a second cab deflector wheel (17), respectively, and joined respectively to the opposed side surfaces of the cab (5).
