Abstract:
In an elevator device, an elevator car is suspended by suspension means and lifted and
lowered in a hoistway. The suspension means has a suspension body including steel
element wires and also has a resin cover body for covering the outer periphery of
the suspension body. A cover abnormality detection device for detecting damage on
the cover body is placed close to the suspension means.
