Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an elevator device provided with a partition in an elevator shaft capable of ensuring the safety of a maintenance worker working on top of the car and capable of having maintenance inspection of a counterweight smoothly performed. The elevator device comprises a car (2), coupled via a rope (15) and ascending and descending in an elevator shaft (1) in a pick-up and supply method, and a counterweight (3), and is provided with, in the elevator shaft (1), an elevator shaft partition (7) for blocking between a shaft space (1a) of the car (2) and a shaft space (1b) of the counterweight (3). The elevator device is characterized in that in the elevator shaft partition (7) an opening (7a) having an opening area substantially equal to the horizontal projected area of the counterweight (3) is provided at a location where the car (2) and the counterweight (3) pass each during ascent and descent.
