Abstract:
In this elevator device, multiple storage media (19) are arranged in a shaft spaced apart from each other in the lift direction of the car (5). In the car (5), a reading means (20) is provided which reads information stored in the storage media (19). The storage media (19) are arranged at different intervals in the lift direction of the car. When the position of the car (5) is no longer known, a safety monitoring device (8) operates to detect two storage media (19), measures the interval between the detected storage media (19) on the basis of a signal from a shift detection means (12), and compares the measured interval between the storage media (19) and the stored intervals between the storage media (19), and uses this comparison result and the information about the storage media (19) to find the position of the car.
