Abstract:
In this elevator device, a reference position switch is a switch that is normally closed and that opens by way of an elevator car moving to a reference position. A detection object is installed in an elevator shaft. A detection object detector that detects the detection object is provided in the elevator car. By way of learning operations carried out in advance, an elevator car position detecting unit stores, as detection position information for the detection object, the distance that the elevator car moves from when the detection object is detected until the elevator car is detected by the reference position switch. Moreover, after the learning operation completes, the elevator car position detecting unit detects the position of the elevator car on the basis of information from the detection object detector, the stored detection position information, and information from a movement distance detector that outputs a signal according to the distance that the elevator car moves.
