Provided is an elevator device comprising: a car vertically movably provided within a hoistway; a main rope for suspending the car; and a cable for connecting the car and a control board. The car is provided with a cable winding device for winding and unwinding a cable. The cable winding device is supported by the car so as to move vertically with the car.
