Abstract:
An elevator device in which a car is suspended by a suspension body and is hoisted up and down in a hoistway. A suspension compensation body is suspended from the car and compensates for a weight unbalance of the suspension body. A balancing wheel is provided in a lower portion of the hoistway. The suspension compensation body is wound onto the balancing wheel to give a tension to the suspension compensation body. A damper attenuates vertical vibrations of the balancing wheel. Further, the damper gives a larger attenuation force to the balancing wheel when ascending than when descending.
