Abstract:
Elevator equipment, comprising a car (3) lifting in a hoistway (1) along car guide rails (5), a balance weight (4) lifting in the hoistway (1) along balance weight guide rails (6), a rope (13) for suspending the car (3) and the balance weight (4), a sheave (14) having the rope (13) wound thereon, and a drive device (7) having a drive motor (18) for rotating the sheave (14), wherein the drive device (7) is so formed that the radial outside dimension of the drive motor (18) is larger than the radial outside dimension of the sheave (14), the sheave (14) side thereof is opposed to the wall of the hoistway (1) and the rotating surface thereof is tilted relative to the wall of the hoistway (1), and that a part thereof is overlapped with the car (3) in the plan view of the hoistway.
