Abstract:
An elevator has an elevator car (6) and a counterbalance (7), which are suspended by a main rope (15) passed over a drive pulley (14), over an elevator car suspension wheel (8), and over a counterbalance suspension wheel (9). The main rope (15), which leads from the drive pulley (14) to an elevator car-side rope anchor section (16), is passed over the elevator car suspension wheel (8) from the side of the elevator car suspension wheel (8) which is away from the drive pulley (14) in the horizontal direction. A first main rope section (15a) which is located between the drive pulley (14) and the elevator car suspension wheel (8) and a second main rope section (15b) which is located between the elevator car suspension wheel (8) and the elevator car-side rope anchor section (16) are passed through a common, elevator car-side through-hole (4) and intersect each other when viewed in the direction of the axis of the drive pulley (14). The counterbalance (7) side is identically configured.
