Abstract:
A method for modifying a winding drum elevator to a traction elevator which includes a traction hoist machine around which a rope for hanging a counterweight and a car is wound, said method comprising a step for removing a winding drum hoist machine and then arranging the counterweight in the space where the winding drum hoisting machine was previously disposed, or a step for removing the rope guided to the side of the car in a hoistway and then arranging the counterweight in the space where the rope was previously disposed.
