Abstract:
Provided is an elevator system capable of limiting the braking capacity required for a door-open-travel protection device. An elevator system according to the present invention is provided with: an upper car (5) and a lower car (6) which are supported on a car frame (1) by a secondary rope (7); an upper-car rail brake (10a) which fixes the upper car (5) to the car frame (1); a lower-car rail brake (10b) which fixes the lower car (6) to the car frame (1); a landing-door-open detection unit (21) which detects that a door of a landing is open; a first car-door-open detection unit (22) which detects that a door of the upper car (5) is open; a second car-door-open detection unit (23) which detects that a door of the lower car (6) is open; a first fixation execution unit (24) which, in cases when it is detected that the door of the landing and/or the door of the upper car (5) are/is open, operates the upper-car rail brake (10a); and a second fixation execution unit (25) which, in cases when it is detected that the door of the landing and/or the door of the lower car (6) are/is open, operates the lower-car rail brake (10b).
