Abstract:
This elevator comprises a car, a counterweight, and a weight-side governor that detects the lift speed of the counterweight. A hoistway comprises a rear surface-side wall facing the surface opposite a car-side door of the car in the front-rear direction, which is the direction in which the car-side door of the car faces the entrance/exit of a building structure. The weight-side governor is disposed between the rear surface-side wall of the hoistway and the car in the front-rear direction.
