Abstract:
A colorant composition which, when applied to paper, causes no problems such as, e.g., blurring and which, when adhered to a fibrous material such as a cloth or nonwoven fabric, can be eliminated by simple washing. The colorant composition comprises a coloring pigment, water-soluble resins, and water, wherein the water-soluble resins (R) comprise a water-soluble resin (A) and a water-soluble resin (B), the coloring pigment (P) has been dispersed with the water-soluble resin (A), the weight ratio of the coloring pigment (P) to the water-soluble resins (R), P/R, is from 1/1 to 1/30, and the coloring pigment (P) has a specific surface area of 200 m2/g or larger and an oil absorption of 70 mL/100 g or less.
