Abstract:
[PROBLEM] To provide an elongate medical device which can be substantially more convenient during use by a technician, etc., and can prevent separation, from a catheter main body, of a medicated part (hydrophilic coating) that contains metal ions and a drug during placement on a wound site of a patient. [SOLUTION] A sheath introducer 100 is provided with a sheath tube 110 configured to be inserted percutaneously into blood vessel B, and a hub 150 connected to the base end of the sheath tube. The sheath tube has a first region 120 and a second region 130 positioned to the base end side of the first region; the first region has a first hydrophilic coating 141 that has lubricity, the second region has a groove 131 that extends from the tip end of the sheath tube towards the base end, and the groove has a second hydrophilic coating 142 that contains metal ions and/or the drug.
