Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention provides a device having a simple constitution yet capable of imparting a strong force upon an elongated medical instrument with ease. [Solution] Provided is an elongated medical instrument driving device 10 equipped with a support member 11 supporting an elongated medical instrument 1 having a forward end 1a and a rear end 1b, and a drive mechanism 12 for imparting a driving force upon the support member 11 such that the elongated medical instrument 1 moves toward the forward end. As a result of comprising an elastic body 13, the drive mechanism 12 is capable of imparting a predetermined force or a predetermined speed upon the elongated medical instrument 1.
