Abstract:
The present invention is an oral liquid preparation that is an aqueous solution comprising: (a) 2-(4-ethyl-1-piperazinyl)-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-5,6,7,8,9,10-hexahydrocycloocta[b] pyridine (hereinafter referred to as "the active ingredient"); (b) xanthan gum; and (c) a dissolution aid, wherein, in an elution test (temperature: 37°C, test method: paddle method, rotation rate: 50 rpm), using a solution containing the active ingredient (a) in an amount equivalent to 4 mg, in accordance with the 15th Edition of Japanese Pharmacopoeia, said oral liquid preparation shows an elution rate of 20-50% 60 minutes after the start of the test in Elution Test Solution 2 and shows an an elution rate of 70-100% 60 minutes after the start of the test in Elution Test Solution 1. An elution-controlled liquid preparation by which the elution of an oral liquid preparation can be controlled over a wide pH range from acidic to neutral conditions, said elution-controlled liquid preparation showing elution properties similar to a solid preparation.
