Abstract:
It is intended to provide embolic materials which can be easily handled and have stable qualities. This object can be achieved by providing embolic materials containing polysaccharide ester derivatives having a weight-average molecular weight of from 10,000 to 500,000 daltons and an average degree of acyl-substitution exceeding 2, embolic agents for arteriovenous aneurysm comprising these embolic materials and physiologically acceptable adequate hydrophilic organic solvents, and a process for producing an embolic agent for arteriovenous aneurysm involving the step of dissolving such an embolic material in a physiologically acceptable hydrophilic organic solvent.
