The present invention provides an embolism protection apparatus and a medical device. The embolism protection apparatus comprises a guide wire and an umbrella body sleeving the guide wire. The guide wire is configured for driving the umbrella body to move. The umbrella body comprises a net bag structure and at least two support rods. The net bag structure comprises a body part and an edge part arranged along the edge of the body part. The distal ends of the at least two support rods are separately connected to the edge part, and the proximal ends of the at least two support rods intersect at the guide wire. The radial tension of the edge part is greater than that of the body part. According to the embolism protection apparatus and the medical device provided by the present invention, the support rods are pulled to drive the net bag structure to contract, such that when the net bag structure comes into a target object (such as a blood vessel), since the radial tension of the edge part of the net bag structure is greater than that of the body part, the anchoring performance of the umbrella body after being released in the blood vessel can be improved.
